Dina Litovsky’s ongoing series Bachelorette is a rather candid exploration of what goes on during the seemlier side of bachelorette parties. A look through the collection leaves you both giggling and feeling somewhat uncomfortable, but hey that’s pretty much how those parties go.
Side note: My own bachelorette party was incredibly tame, with the most daring thing I did being an attempt at roller skating at age thirty two. However, that all changed when someone was shot outside of the bar we ended up in. He survived, but the whole thing became incredibly surreal. Half of the night was spent with red lights flashing through the pub windows onto the walls while I
engulfed sipped English beer and noshed on baked brie with onion chutney. There were patrons (ourselves included) endlessly gawking over the iron balcony railings. Finally our outing culminated with me asking a police officer if it was ok for us to drive backwards down the one way street we had parked on so that we could bypass the gruesome crime scene. Then we went to my apartment and played Rock Band.
